Konz Synagogue
Konz Synagogue

The first indications of Jewish residents in Konz, who were initially affiliated with the community in Könen, are found in the 19th Century. Their first synagogue was built on the “Lindenstraße” in 1886 as a free-standing, two-storey structure with large arched windows. Nevertheless, little is known about the history of the building.

The synagogue furnishings were totally destroyed in the wake of the November pogroms of 1938, with the former synagogue being purchased by a private individual in 1957 and converted into a residential home.
